We are Jordan and Andrew Mallard — and yes, like the duck. It feels fitting that a name tied to one of the South's most iconic birds would lead us here, building a brand rooted in the wild places we've always called home.
We grew up in South Georgia, outside as much as we were in — chasing the edges of marshes, learning the rhythms of the land, and finding beauty in the things most people walk right past. Snakes coiled in the grass. Alligators drifting through dark water. The smell of marsh mud at low tide. To us, that's not something to avoid — that's the good stuff.
Now we're raising three kids who feel the same way. They're out there with us, boots in the mud, eyes wide open, falling in love with the same wild world that shaped us.
Blackwater Sawgrass Trading Company is an extension of that life. We create apparel and goods inspired by the deep South landscape — thoughtfully sourced, intentionally designed, and built for people who find the extraordinary in the everyday outdoors.
